Eleven per cent of golfers in Britain are now women, an increase James Andrews believes could be due to there now being more high profile women players like 16 year-old Hawaiian Michelle Wie. He’s also found more business conferences are taking place on golf courses.
“Its just a more pleasant way of doing business than in the board room and it’s a good way of networking,” he says. “For a lot of people, once they take up golf it becomes a way of life. Our working lives are becoming very hectic. On the golf course you can switch off from all that and relax. Get some ‘me’ time”.
