The James Andrews School of Golf brings American Teaching and Coaching Techniques to England.
How can anyone learn a sport with lessons one hour a week? Could you ski well, going to the dry slope every Saturday morning? The answer is no, to learn to ski you would spend a week in a ski resort.
Located in an area of outstanding natural beauty, 2 miles east of Battle, the school has an 18-hole course, and an 18-bay floodlit driving range. Facilities include a 50-metre-square purpose built indoor teaching arena with video and computer equipment for swing analysis and a hotel with 20 luxurious, air-conditioned bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms as well as massage facility.
The tuition is very well organised and, as with all aspects of the residential course, as comfortable as possible. Anybody who has felt intimidated about contacting their local club’s pro or unwilling to show their lack of skills in front of seasoned golfers will experience no such problems here as all levels of ability are catered for, including beginners.
