The indoor Video Swing Analysis System at the James Andrews Golf School with its studio quality lighting enables four cameras to record your swing from different angles. These moving images are then downloaded onto the computer. Your swing will be broken down into about 60 separate images, allowing the professional to analyse all aspects of your swing and point out areas to improve upon.

The system gives a crystal clear image in slow motion, pause or at normal speed. With this, the professional can work out the degree of wrist bend, club-head speed, angle of attack into impact, and even plot your swing plane on the back swing when compared to the downswing.

Also, there is a professional swing library which, features some of the world's top players, including the legendary Tiger Woods. This feature allows the professional to place you side by side on the screen with a pro of similar rhythm - and highlight the differences. Actually seeing yourself striking the ball in slow motion helps you to understand the mechanics of the swing, and also allows the professional to highlight the good areas, and the not so good areas of your swing.

Add that to the warm welcome by all the staff and the excellent food and facilities (ample parking, 2 courses, 7 putting / chipping greens, driving range, bunker practice, comfortable lounge bars, casual or semi formal dining facilities, quality accommodation, steaming hot baths and a well stocked and expert Pro shop) and the school is a real winner. My only complaint would be the weather but then I did plump for the two-for-one January deal. Beggars can’t be choosers, but this beggar might well be looking at a summer package later in the year!"
