Other course options
as before hotel is great, food is great, simulator was great, course a little muddy but very playable and the addition of the Full Size Snooker table for the evening was excellent and all at a very low price.
well done six out of five or eleven out of Ten you take your pick.
My son, Fraser was with James who again had the patience of a saint and helped improve his golf. Fraser couldn't stop going on about how great James was.
The lodges were fab and immaculate with the most lovely staff cleaning the rooms. In fact I was unwell one day and they were offering to bring me food or could they go to the pharmacist for me. The girls in the club house amazing also. I wish I could name them all. The food is fab in the clubhouse. There is not one negative thing I could say about this place. It was home from home. I felt we knew everybody by the time we left. All staff are caring and show such an interest in you and how your getting on with your golf.
We will definitely be back again and I'm already planning trips with the girls from Edinburgh to go learn there. I'm already selling it to everyone here in Edinburgh. The best way to do it.
You must go and even if your a complete beginner! You will love it. And if your a golfer you will improve loads.
The course is very good and thankfully some good under cover areas as weather was very wet.
Would return for further coaching
I did not stay in the accommodation on site this time as I live a shortish drive away but it is perfect for the golf school albeit without frills.
I will certainly return next year.
I have recently returned from the 2 half day intermediate course and cannot recommend this place highly enough! Our coach James was fantastic, spending time with each one of us individually to make sure that we got exactly what we needed out of the sessions. The small groups (3 in mine) made the experience feel very bespoke. The hotel is excellent, the food was far superior to any other golf club I've been to and all the staff we met were very friendly - especially Sam in the bar/restaurant/reception! Will be recommending to anyone and everyone that I can!
I'm a single lady and booked on an intermediate/improver ladies only course over 2 half days, 8.30am to 1pm. The classes are a maximum of 4 but there were only 2 of us so we got an intensive couple of days with Tom, our coach. The hotel is in the grounds and my room (room 1) was spacious with a big bathroom - although it could really do with a proper shower and not one of those candlestick hand held things that are guaranteed to spray water everywhere! But it was nice having a huge bath and a good soak after the day's exertions. Tom was great and very patient, it was good being able to review the video sessions and it really helped me understand what I was doing wrong. The food is fantastic, good ingredients cooked really well, I've had worse eggs benedict in hotels charging much more. I really enjoyed my stay and will be back when I need another reminder of what I'm supposed to be doing!
Thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Sedlescombe Golf Club and the James Andrews Golf School. The tuition was great and was tailored towards specific areas that I talked about in our first session. The Clubhouse including the Restaurant were first class and very friendly, and the breakfasts were great. The Hotel / Lodge was very quiet, clean and comfortable.
I would certainly recommend a trip to anyone who is serious about improving their golf and many thanks to James Cunliffe, my instructor. My putting and long game have both improved significantly and I have 2 prizes to show for it since returning to Chesterfield !
One other point, I've found the video analysis of your swing and tutorials which are sent to you after the visit work a treat in terms of reminding you of key drills and swing tips . They stop you from slipping back to the old ways !
Small class size and first class coach (James C) enabled me to realize the most from my experience.
Good use of modern equipment and traditional coaching techniques used to assess, fully explain and to promote the necessary corrections required to improve my game.
Accommodation, restaurant and bar facilities added the final touch to the superb setting and added to an extremely pleasant experience.
Couldn't fault the whole experience, fantastic beginners course, thank you so much Tim for your patience and sense of humor. Lovely accommodation and great food. Thank you everyone.
Fantastic weekend, golf coaching was with doubt first class, thanks Tim. Great set up , great course and the all the staff were friendly and help make our weekend great. Caters for all levels of golf. The course was in great condition and very enjoyable to play.
Having taken lessons over a period of many years and made slow progress, and not for lack of skill or effort on both my and the pro I've used for many years, I decided to try this method.
The transformation was unbelievable, the problems I had were same as I'd been told over the years but difference is that here they are put right in a short space of time and I have video evidence to refer back to.
Spend the money and do it right, you won't regret it, brilliant.
A fantastic week on a beginners golf course , must admit was a bit nervous at first but the golf pro puts you and your fellow colleagues at ease straight away . Constantly helped all the way through showing where there where any flaws via video , during the week went through many aspects and rules of the game and came away with a greater understanding of the game and confidence to play . I will definitely return in the future to hopefully help improve my game . The golf club itself is very laid back and welcoming to all ! Hotel rooms spacious and clean . The only downside is that you may gain a few pounds in weight if you opt to have a 3 course eve meal every night as the food was really nice , and last but not least the staff where all polite and friendly.
Quite frankly, if you are considering doing this, just do it!! You won't regret it!
I was a grumpy,3 hour late arrival on Friday for a 2 half day course on the Sat and Sun. I was greeting with an ever so friendly reception and that set the tone for the whole weekend.
The staff were all friendly and amazing, James actually greets you on the start of your course and checks how you are during it too, the food is fantastic, the hotel was fantastic (had air con in my room!!) the facilities are fantastic, the course and environment were beautiful and the tuition was top notch too (shout out to Tim here!)
There was no need to venture out from the site in the evening, even though there is plenty you could do, as you socialise with all the other students and members alike.
I had a great time, it's genuine value for money over having say 8 separate hours over 8 weeks, and I am 100% going back! Thanks to all of the team for a great weekend!
I spent 3 days on the intermediate course and I now go away with an idea of what's wrong with my swing and what to do to correct it and drills to achieve this. The pro's are excellent, friendly and very knowledgeable. There is 4hrs of teaching each day and cover every part of your game driving chipping putting etc, and with on course tuition as well which is invaluable. I saw an improvement in the 4 days but it is the targeted practice afterwards where I am reaping the rewards from my time there. Definitely recommend this course to anyone serious about improving your golf found this better than weekly lessons. One tip take some surgical tape to wrap your fingers as they will wear after 3 days playing golf and 12 hours of lessons but well worth it
Good sized, comfortable room, excellent tuition from Tim Underhill the pro. Good company on the course, fantastic hotel and bar staff and really wonderful food. I will definitely be back and would recommend a stay here to anybody.
Took this short course really as a taster. Found the tuition very informative and returned home with plenty to practice. Accommodation good although would have liked a fitted shower. Food good and all the staff very helpful and friendly. Will definitely we returning.
We enjoyed the whole experience. The tuition was ver professionally carried out, the room was clean and generous in size and the food was absolutely excellent.
Great facilities, great rooms, great coaching from motivated and professional staff (my regular tutor is Tom - 100% recommended) and if time allows you can play the course which is fine. Nothing not to like and a must if you want to sharpen up your game or indeed are taking the great sport of golf up for the first time.
This was our second visit in 7 years. It was a great experience the first time, so was hesitant in booking. But it surpassed our previous experience. The tuition from Tim was excellent, thought through, and relevant to each individual in our group. The golf course offers the challenges required to make it interesting. The accommodation is clean and comfortable. The big surprise was 3 days and 4 nights of outstanding food supported by friendly and charming service from all those we encountered. Well done to all. Can't wait to come again.
The 3 day advanced course with Tom was brilliant. He only concentrated on what I needed to improve my game, thereby not wasting valuable time the things I was getting right. Very friendly staff and a well run school. I would recommend it, if you're serious about reducing your handicap.
This is the 2nd time we have been for a 2x 1/2 day intermediate golf training course. Tom our instructor was great (and we will do everything Tom told us!), good facilities, you get a little manual on your training results and free use of the golf course which is a good course.
The hotel accommodation is nice and the restaurant does great breakfasts and dinners.
Its a 15 minute trip into Hastings if you want to go out for the evening and plenty of other sights around.
Attended a 3 day golf school, excellent tuition from Tom. The facilities are second to none and all the staff were fantastic. Also very impressed with the hotel and clubhouse restaurant. Highly recommended.
Why did I go to James Andrews school of Golf....I've played to 18, but a 24 H/C....Going round in circles, practicing the wrong thing over and over again and just being frustrated after and during every game, but knowing I had it in me....So, booked a 3 day course, 8.30 - 1pm then free to play....and boy am I glad I went....Beautiful golf course, lovely surroundings and accommodation, fantastic restaurant, great friendly staff..nothing too much trouble and the 'Pro' golf staff are amazing. Detailed comprehendible tuition including Video analysis etc. There were 4 in my group and we all had a laugh and could literally see the changes in the swing, technique, distance and confidence within the 2nd morning with Tim Underhill, our PGA instructor.
This is a must for any level as a golfer..you can be sure you will walk away 'tweeked', ready to go and happier! 🙂 Am I returning???..Damn right I am!!! 😉 See you soon guys!...
An excellent experience with almost instant results. After 3 days I played the 18 hole course getting two pars one of them on the hardest hole on the course,!
Tuition is unique to each individual tailoring their needs. Would definitely recommend to golfers I know.
Accommodation was superb. The food could have been better, it's the same menu at lunch all the time mayb offer more choice of cereals and croissants and more fresh fruit for breakfast, jacket potatoes and salads for lunch.
All in all a worthwhile experience which I would definitely recommend.
We even came back and won a competition on the Saturday and I saw an improvement in my game.
The course was very good hopefully will "iron" out a few issues. The accommodation was very good possibly would be better if a shower was in the room with the bath. The food was good quality - however it was very much unchanged day to day and I felt the fish that we ordered could have been less filleted and look more like battered cod fillet rather than a fish finger. Although cooked well after a hard day a substantial meal would have been better. The thick chips were amazing however..... Some days add something with maybe mash and veg. And maybe a healthy salad option now and again would be a good alternative? The coaching was well organised and concentrated on the individuals training needs was of great benefit. Although our training was a little cut short most days this was not reflective of all trainers. James Andrews was very personable and would go out of his way to make hisself available which showed how much each individual meant which was a great personal touch.. The staff were all amazing and nothing was too much trouble. I will be looking forward to returning next year. And highly recommend the experience to anyone thinking of going.. Apologies if I have criticised some things but at least readers will be able to see it is a heart felt review... Well done James and crew and if the menu improves next visit a 5 review should be easy
Lovely setting. Attentive, accommodating staff. Excellent, detailed instruction with helpful video analysis.
Back for 3rd visit over a 12 year period, great patience and instruction shown by teacher Tom,friendly atmosphere by all staff accommodation faultless apart from noisy guests, would recommend to any golfer wishing to improve and enjoy a break at the same time.
An activity holiday that ticks all the boxes, excellent tuition in small ability based groups, excellent practice facilities and Tom our instructor who did his very excellent best to bring out the best in my golf . I would and have recommended James Allen golf school a number of friends who are keen to improve their golf and especially because the venue and format of teaching assists single ladies to participate. Well done JAGS and keep up the good work ⛳️
I came to James Andrews school of golf to improve a few things with my game.
The training was fantastic within a few hours James C, showed me where I was wrong in my swing and set out to correct bit by bit, not only via video and body adjustments the science behind it all became clear!
My 3 days were valuable. Hotel was nice clean and comfortable, however no shower in the bathroom is my only complaint.. The restaurant was good food was good always fresh fish to order each day..
The Staff are outstanding happy helpful and very friendly..
I will be back...
I booked on the 3 half day beginner course, and stayed in the lovely hotel on site.
Not only did we get (there were 3 of us on the course, maximum 4) excellent tuition from Tom, but we also had the run of the club over these days. I was lent golf shoes and clubs, so did not need to buy any other kit. (we did all buy a glove after day 2, which was useful when doing so much driving practice, and all purchases could be put on the room bill).
This meant we could put into practice what we had learnt, and really make the most of it. So we managed 3 rounds on the 9 hole golf course on our own, and countless putting practices etc.
The intensive nature of this course, its tuition, including video analysis of driving swing, (which was very useful), and the fact that one had time to practise, without the normal other pressures of daily life, made the whole experience so successful, with the result I really only could have dreamed of.
I now feel confident to play with friends who have been playing a long time, and also going to a golf club, and just going round to improve my game.
I would like to thank everyone there for their welcoming and very friendly manner. Tom's calm and patient coaching approach was very effective, and the whole learning process very enjoyable.
His explanation of various rules was clear and we were also given a comprehensive folder of techniques and rules as we finished the last day.
This was my 5th visit to the school, and was probably the best so far. All my other visits have also been excellent but this time I could see big improvements. The standard of teaching is first class, James Cunliffe our instructor is very clear and patient with an excellent teaching method. The facilities are top notch and the lodge is spacious, always clean and very comfortable. I plan to go back every 3 to 4 months as I find this method work well for me, and no doubt others!
I have just completed a two full days golf school (intermediate) and am very impressed.
Firstly the really important bit the golf. There was a group of four of us and our pro was Tim...from the start he was patient, very instructive , took an interest in each individual and their problems...he very quickly found mine and set about giving me the tools to put it right. After that we covered many other aspects of the game, pitching, bunker work etc.
The proof came for me the following Saturday when I went to play and was very surprised at my high levels of confidence plus how he had seemed to instil muscle memory as I went straight into my 'fixed' swing.
The practice facilities were very good, 3 putting greens, two bunkers and a green to practice chipping and pitching ...
Thinking back over the weekend I find it hard to think of a negative about the golf school.
The place itself was really nice, very clean rooms, helpful staff, lovely bathrooms!! Comfy bed too.
Two of my favourite things are golf and food and the standard of food here was very high, well cooked, full of flavour and well presented. I must admit that they served me the best eggs benedict for breakfast I had ever had!!
If there was any thing I would change or comment on was that the menu was very small, one night there was nothing that really appealed so I resorted to the bar menu which was also limited but had thick slice of ham, two eggs and chunky chips! very tasty
In summary, I went to get my golf improved which was very successfully fulfilled by a good and thorough training regime taken by a friendly and very competent coach in comfortable surroundings with high quality food and friendly helpful staff .
Highly recommended ..
I would highly recommend James Andrews school of golf and Seddlescombe Golf course and hotel. The tuition was well structured and informative. The PGA Pro was excellent and extremely patient. The hotel staff could not do enough for you. Will return
After a two day course with 4 others and the expert help of a golf professional I have had a really good insight into this game and a good feeling about wanting to develop this as a regular part of my leisure time. I learnt such a lot and was a total beginner. This course is ideal and the whole set-up with hotel and excellent food and relaxed friendly environment was ideal for me .
2 days golf tuition was thorough . Paul the coach was excellent and with only three of us we had a great deal of individual time with him. The hotel was very good and the food, service and friendliness all exceptional. I would highly recommend both the James Andrews golf school and the hotel.
Thanks to all the team at the JA Gold school for a great weekend. I went with a friend and we were impressed with the whole set up from the accommodation, food, wine list, facilities, equipment and of course the golf teaching.
We had Paul teaching us who was friendly and energetic and very knowledgeable. I felt I improved a lot over the weekend (we had had a few lessons before but this really took things up a level) and I now feel confident going onto a Par 3 course on my own which I previously did not.
I was also happy that the restaurant/lounge area was not stuffy, had a surprisingly varied wine list and didn't have any dress code rules (which frankly after 7 hours of golf each day is not something you really have the inclination to deal with when all you want to do is relax).
We're going to be practising lots over the summer and then my friend and I are planning on returning for the intermediate course in September so I think that speaks for itself really!
Great golf school and instructor which builds your understanding and being able to practice intensively a huge confidence booster. Accommodation OK but no facilities for relaxation after long day on the course. Food excellent and everybody friendly.
This is our second visit to the golf school. Had Tom again, very proficient, relaxed and friendly instructor. Tuition was excellent, the courses good and challenging in parts so would gladly recommend.
I was struggling with my swing and needed help. I got everything I hoped for and more. Truly professional coaching from Tom, comfortable accommodation and good food all on site. The swing now feels good and I am hitting the ball well.
I highly recommend this place for all levels of golf.
Welcoming, relaxed and friendly people and environment. Lovely accommodation and really good facilities. Coaching was thorough, effective and kind. Many thanks. We hope to be back.
Our beginners weekend of golf was wonderful from the moment we arrived. The staff in the clubhouse made us very welcome and we had a lovely meal before retiring to our hotel room, which was huge and very well appointed. The two days of golf with Tim was the perfect intro to golf, we were both complete novices and despite my total lack of coordination to start, with Tim's patience and guidance I came away from the weekend feeling much more positive. Clubs now purchased and raring to go. Sadly due to the distance from home, we decided not to purchase our clubs from the golf shop but that didn't stop Dave from affording us plenty of advise on what and how we should go about purchasing. Will definitely be back for more tuition once we have mastered the basics. One word of warning, the two full days is very tiring, if going back, will opt for the half days to allow some more leisurely practice for the other half day.
My husband and I had two half day teaching sessions at the school. Our professional James C was extremely good, able to adapt his advice to suit our physical limitations. At the end of the first session my swing was so much better, and then work on the short game commenced. The video feedback made it easy to see where problems were, and having access to the videos since the course is helping to embed the changes. We're continuing with individual coaching sessions, but I hope to do another intensive course in the future.
Bought a gift voucher by my son for two mornings of golf tuition at James Andrews. My wife and I were coached by James Cunliffe. Course included an initial video analysis of our swings and some drills to correct the faults (it is very difficult hitting a ball with a balloon held between your elbows, but it showed me how to swing without losing my right elbow!)
Tuition continued through all aspects of the game, again with simple drills and mantras to reinforce the lessons. Putting, bunker work and chipping were clearly explained and demonstrated.
This is the third visit to Lames Andrews School of Golf and the pro we had this time, called Tom North was exceptional. Each of our visits has been good but this one was one of the best
Attended the golf school for a 2 half day tuition course for the second time. The hotel is to a good standard, and the food in the club house just a short walk away was excellent . The golf tuition was superb from James and I would thoroughly recommend this as a way to improve or learn from scratch if you are a complete beginner. The 18 hole golf course attached is quite challenging but can be played along with the 9 hole at no additional cost and with unlimited free practice balls for the extensive driving range and practice area, the whole package is excellent value for money.
If you want to have a great golf weekend away to start/improve your golf, look no further.
The golf school is fantastically well organised. Our golf pro for the weekend was the brilliant, Paul Nessling. He understood what we needed and provided superb instruction and guidance.
The hotel was immaculate. The food was superb, the staff are the best, most friendly, helpful people I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. From the cleaning staff to the waiting staff, pro shop to the pro golfers, everyone was totally amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. If only customer care was always this fabulous. We will be going back for another weekend this year!
Thank you to everyone who made our stay so marvellous.
Victoria & Ayman
Found this Golf school over internet and was impressed by the recommendations. The 3 half days intermediate course was well organised, with good instruction, analysis and feed-back. Lessons in the mornings and free afternoons to play on the course is a good combination. The hotel accomodation and meals were all very good with friendly and efficient service. On return to my home club, have already impressed 2 aquaintances, who want to also attend this golf school. Can highly recommend.
Returned yet again (probably 6th time) for a 2 half-day course. Myself (handicap 10) and husband (handicap 13) found Tom to be an excellent teacher, able to spot the key improvements needed and help us fix them quickly. The accommodation is superb, huge rooms with the benefit of large baths to sink into - really appreciated after a hard day's golfing.
Staff are all friendly and attentive, food is excellent.
Not a bad word to say about any aspect.
Just back from a 3 half day intermediate golf course and found the whole experience absolutely brilliant. James was our golf pro and a nicer guy you couldn't hope to meet, very patient, great with mentioning the positives as well as showing you where you need to improve. We had great weather so were able to get out on the great courses in the afternoons with the other guys on the course. We had 4 people on our course but James spent lots of time with all of us to give us individual coaching and I have come away with lots of before and after videos which James has narrated over to remind me what we discussed on the course which I can log on and view at any time.
Very friendly team, James Andrew has done well to get a great atmosphere with a great team behind him to give us a great experience, well worth the 3 and a half hour trip home 🙂
Went for 3 half day intermediate golf coaching. Great coach Tom really took the time to go through areas of improvement making it easy to remember. Food coach house all great we will be back!
I have started lessons with Tasha Gobey again and have to say I am thoroughly enjoying my lessons. Mind you ALL the coaches are brilliant.. Brilliant friendly atmosphere there and made to feel very welcome.
Started my lessons last summer but had to take a five month break. Yet welcomed back full of encouragement. Really motivating.
Food is wonderful and the staff in the pro shop are extremely friendly and helpful.
We attended the two half days and found the teaching brilliant and the pro. very patient and understanding. The food was good and the service friendly. Would definitely return again.
Really top quality training and good accommodation. Excellent food and lovely and helpful staff. The professionals take a lot of time and effort to improve your gave and provide videos and a website to help you improve.
I've used the school for both the two days beginners and two half day intermediate course - both excellent and well run. Facilities are excellent. Accommodation is really nice and the food very very good.
As two, retired, golfing couples we decided to have a short activity break away together. My wife and I had previously stayed at the hotel, and noted the School, and the winter offer of a 2 half-day course seemed ideal ... and so it proved. The accommodation was totally adequate, the food and service in the restaurant was very good, and the golf coaching lived up to everything that we had read about the School. The welcome was warm and friendly, and made us feel valued, and the coaching from the instructor was spot on; not over-complicated but offering adjustments and guidance that were achievable. This could become an annual event for us.
Had two half days coaching in the morning for intermediates and stayed overnight at the golf hotel.Four of us coached by Tom who was very friendly and helpful. Very lucky with the weather which enabled us to practice outside and play the course for free in the afternoons. Tom finds out what you want to get out of the coaching and adapts his instructions for each of us accordingly. Made good use of the video facilities to demonstrate what we need to do to improve.
Excellent breakfast and room fine for one night. Went to Hastings in the evening for our meal ( which was very good) but told the meals at the golf club were fine.
i completed the 3 x half day beginners golf course with coach called Tom last week. It was extremely well organised and fun too. I left feeling very motivated. The onsite facilities were very good too.
Fantastic experience, from arriving on the Saturday morning to leaving on Sunday. Not only was the school ran with incredible professionalism but the general aura of the place is extremely warm and friendly.
The Pros made understanding the improvements I needed to make very simple, they spent time with each of us in the group and over the weekend my golf improved drastically.
The golfing facilities are very good, although the course in February was as to be expected, wet and soggy, but playable.
Outside the golf I cannot fault the clubhouse, bar, restaurant or hotel. All are top notch and a far higher standard than expected. The food was a massive standout, hearty breakfasts and lunch and dinner that was superb.
All in all a great experience and one I can see myself doing over and over again.
Many thanks to James for helping improve my game vastly!
I have just returned from my 4th residential golf school. I find the whole set up, teaching and set up to be fantastic and more beneficial (for me) than booking individual lessons. James was our instructor this time and he is very clear, patient and his instructional method was top class and is a really nice chap.
My wife and I made our third visit to James Andrews School of golf in late February 2016. Weather was typically English spring, which for a Norwegian is "mixed", but we enjoyed ourselves very much. A short spell in Spain in January told me there was much to learn before the season, and even if there are still "dark areas" in my knowledge we feel the basics are mastered. The hotel and The Greens restaurant are top-notch as usually, and James is a gem as a teacher.
First class, intense, tuition for 4 hours each tuition day + half a day playing on quite challenging golf course.
Each participant learnt huge amount which is not possible with the usual half hour teaching sessions.
Our technique and consistency greatly improved and we are now quite clear as to what we have to do to continue to improve.
Accommodation and service levels excellent.
Fantastic venue, great food and first class service. Half price Jan/ Feb deal is unbelievable; would have been a bargain at full price. We did not stay at the school but at a nearby hotel in Battle. First class facilities and a first class coach. Weather had left the course muddy but still playable. We had a great time and hope to make it an annual event. Tim Underhill PGA coach looked after us very well and set up a video library we can log on to see our before and after swings etc.
It was not a miracle cure for all my golfing woes (which are many) but it's the start to becoming a better golfer. 12 hours of coaching, video analysis, as many range balls as you could use and green fees covered for the whole time you're there for less than £150. Compare that price with your own course.
Great teaching by golf professional Tim who has lots of patience. Food and accommodation were really lovely and staff were very helpful. We were made very welcome by everyone.
My 9 year old son has a group lesson here every Saturday morning is making great progress. The instructors are lovely and he really enjoys it. My husband usually takes him and looks forward to his Sat morning breakfast in Greens. The food is delicious, cooked to order and of excellent quality. I meet friends here for their wonderful coffee too as it is open early enough for a post school run meet up. Well worth a visit just for the food.
I attended the 2 half day intermediate school and it was fantastic from start to finish. Really worthwhile and the facilities were top notch.
I travelled with my wife Sandie as she was taking the beginners course (as a birthday present) and I was taking the advanced course. Both instructors put us at ease and certainly helped us improve our game. This is a very relaxed setup and as such it is a very friendly place to visit & learn
The food was exceptional and very effort made to provide an excellent service. They even made a fuss of Sandie for her birthday which was a nice touch..
The rooms were top quality too with a lovely view overlooking the course.
We can't wait to return at some point.
This was our first visit and certainly won't be our last. I took the beginners 3 half day lessons, my husband took the intermediate. I honestly learned more in the first two hours than I have in the last year of 12 lessons at the local club.
Things moved at a pace suitable for the two of us in the beginners lessons, we were videoed, all aspects were analysed and great, encouraging feedback from Tim. By day 3 we were out on the par 3 course and able to comment on the technique of others out there.
I now know how much I have to learn but not sure how I am going to find the time to practice everything I have learned. I am looking forward to receiving the videos and commentary from Tim.
Helpful, patient, constructive schooling in a relaxed setting, With enough time given to practice, practice, practice.
All supported by an excellent club room & the best (in my opinion) burgers for miles!
Very well run, very helpful staff, very thoughtfully arranged site with a small comfortable hotel residence close to all facilities. Nice bathrooms but no showers. All the food of a very high standard from the small menu. The golf professional teaching was excellent - it worked very well with four in our group and 12 hours tuition over 3 days. Even though we were of different standards, the teaching felt very personal. Covered all aspects of golf appropriate for our Intermediate level, The par 3 course was just right for me in that it was stretching ++. Other students enjoyed the 18 hole course (it was a muddy February!). One highlight was the use of the video analysis of our swings - this was very helpful and the videos are emailed to us in real time. I went away with improvement in my golf that I had nearly given up on, and a very good programme for practicing and playing in the months ahead!
I looked at all the options for a three day golf trip / school and opted for the James Andrew Golf School. From the moment we left home to the moment we arived back i can honestly say every thing was perfect. from the welcome to the goodbye it was great. no need to go overseas and waist money on Airfares and parking etc, just a short drive and you were there. the hotel is every thing and more of what you would expect, the food was spot on ! and a special shout to Paul our coach for the three days, every thing explained so even i could fully understand and that takes a lot some times.
what a great time we had and what's more the golf improved as well BONUS !
This 2 beginners day course was excellent. Paul Nessling our (only 3 of us) pro was very patient and nothing was too much trouble. He is very personable with a good relaxed approach and an excellent tutor overall. Very good practical sessions covering putting to full swing with good theoretical explanations coupled with video feedback and practice on simulator. Accommodation was good and food excellent. I thoroughly recommend it.
For me hourly golf lessons just didn't work as I couldn't put in the rounds between lessons so after some research I hit upon the James Andrews school of golf. This is not an afterthought to a traditional club it is a golf school and learners take priority in terms of using the facilities.
The on site accommodation is very high quality with excellent food and nothing is too much trouble. My wife and I don't eat meat so they asked what we wanted fish wise and went to the market to get it. Highly recommended and whilst all the Pro,s are good ask for Tim he is a charming bloke , so patient and all about improving your golf rather than taking the easy route that some pro,s take of re-engineering everything.
This is the 3rd time I've been on a 2 day course here and I can't recommend it highly enough. Its a very long drive from where we live but wouldn't risk going anywhere else. Tim is a brilliant instructor at all levels - he's taught me as a complete beginner and friends at intermediate and advanced levels. The on site accommodation is great, extremely clean, with a bath and an endless supply of hot water to soak away the aches and pains! Likewise the food is lovely, with staff who cater for any dietary requests without a moments hesitation. Will definitely be back. Thanks to all
There are three important aspects when attending any kind of residential training package: the quality of the teaching; the standard of the hotel; the food! In all three areas James Andrews School of Golf excels.
Teaching: there were four 'beginners' (of varying standards) in our group and our golf pro was Paul. He was excellent, with a perfect balance of encouragement, criticism, and humour. Although all four of us were of different abilities and experience Paul made the course work for us all. Even the fact that it hurtled down with rain for the whole of the first day did not interrupt the training, as there is a lot of high-tech equipment to use for analysis as well as a large and well-equipped driving range. Although I've decided that golf is not for me (nothing to do with the quality of the weekend!), I'm still very glad to have had the experience.
Hotel: the accommodation is in a separate building from the clubhouse and social facilities - a short walk along a gravelled path. Although not luxurious the rooms are certainly not basic, and they are a very good size. Mine had twin beds (with an extremely comfortable mattress), a double wardrobe, three chests of drawers for clothes, a television, and a large leather sofa. The room was en-suite with a good-sized bathroom with twin washbasins and a huge bath. The whole place was absolutely spotless, with heating (not that I needed it, even in February) and well-placed lighting. There were lots of little extras: toiletries, a hair dryer, blankets, and tea and coffee. There is also a locker room which is very useful on the last day of any stay as it allows the room to be vacated but personal effects to be kept safe until it is time to leave.
Food: the clubhouse has a fully-equipped bar which divides the clubhouse into two - on one side is the restaurant, where breakfast, lunch and dinner are taken, and on the other side is a social area with television, table tennis, billiards and comfortable seating. The restaurant is fairly basic in appearance (think alpine cafe rather than five star dining) but this belies the quality of the food. The daily menu is small (around four starters and six mains) but, as a vegetarian, I found a good starter and a lovely main (aubergine with lentils). The creme brûlée for desert (again there is a choice) was so good that I had it on my second evening too! As soon as the waitress discovered that I was vegetarian she asked me if I would like vegetarian bacon and sausages for breakfast. She was true to her word, so I was able to have a cooked breakfast on both mornings. I was also asked, on my first night, what I would like the chef to cook for me the next evening! I have never been asked this before! (And they were pretty busy!) I chose a starter of twice-baked cheese soufflé and a main of mushroom risotto; both were excellent.
The other point which is worth a mention is the overall attitude of the staff: without exception they were friendly, helpful and professional. An all-round good experience - and I am very particular! Well done James Andrews School of Golf.
James was an excellent coach and feeling so confident now! The team and hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Had a great time thank you! Would definitely go again!
2 Full Day Beginners Course.
I can't fault mt 2 days the tuition was well structured and presented, staff were amazing, food and accommodation was excellent. This course is fantastic value and a lot better than having an hour lesson every now and then. If you want to learn to play golf make the investment and go and enjoy youself.
As a wily-old 7 handicapper, I did not necessarily “expect” to learn much on this 2 day golf school but I was very pleasantly surprised. The instruction, provided by Tom North, was excellent; he displayed a commendable degree of patience with our group. The tuition was beautifully complemented by the extensive practice facilities and on-site restaurant/accommodation. The staff that underpin the whole facility work extremely hard to ensure everyone leaves with a good impression. A tremendous golfing package that I would happily recommend to all golfers, no matter what skill level.
Great bedroom, very clean and comfortable, great facilities and great coaching. Really enjoyable weekend and would certainly recommend.
had a fantastic time at the golf school.food and accommodation were excellent.Tim my coach was outstanding as he was so patient with me.i learnt so much and i am looking forward to showing my golf mates how to improve and play properly.if you want to improve your golf and have pleasant surroundings i recommend this school.thank you James and best regards to Tim.Ken
This is my fourth time at the golf school and yet again the coaching was spot on. The facilities are great for golf and Tom was an excellent coach.
Pleasant 2 days improving my golf as a near beginner with very comfortable hotel accommodation on site as well as excellent food.
What a fantastic place. Have never been to a golf school before and was not disappointed. Excellent facilities and superb staff who couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and the food was lovely. Golf facilities were excellent and the course was good although boggy from the recent bad weather. Tom the golf pro was very helpful and friendly. Would thoroughly recommend James Andrews School of Golf and already looking forward to my next visit.
great golf school with good instruction and videoing. very useful. food excellent, staff charming and lodges simple but comfortable.lots of hot water to soak aching limbs in!
The school is fantastic.I went for a three half-day course at intermediate level. It has defenitely helped me to improve my game.My instructor Paul is one of the nicest guy you will ever meet.He has phenominal teaching skills. He is very patient and makes you feel so comfortable no matter what your skill level is.The staff at the bar and restaurant are very helpful and polite. The accommodation is wonderful. The room is very clean and quite comfortable! There is a lovely fish restaurant in Hastings "Whites Seafood bar".
Brilliant. quite intense. I think I hit about 1500 shots over the course of the two days.
Completely changed everything about my set-up and swing but in such a way that I was able to end the weekend feeling confident that I could replicate the form on the course instead of feeling bewildered by all of the information. Good steady process of working on one thing until you get it right and then adding new improvements piece by piece.
If you want to see the results follow me in the 2017 Open championship which I fully expect to win now.
tom North was our instructor and was excellent. Patient in the face of immense ineptitude and encouraging of our successes. Highly recommended as the best way to rapidly improve your golf
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the James Andrews School of Golf.
Tom our coach quickly identified our faults and with video analysis he quickly came up with the best way to rectify them.
The accommodation is very convenient and comfortable and the food is great too. Despite heavy rain the under cover range meant that there was no interruption to the 2 days and everyone was helpful, friendly and attentive.
There are attractions nearby if you have any spare time and the school is just a great way to begin to learn the game or to make improvements.
I visited the golf school for the third time in early January 2016, attending a 2 day (full day) advanced course. Unfortunately the weather was atrocious meaning that this time we could not get out on the course itself. That said our pro (Tim) managed to get us out on the short game practice area, between heavy downpours. The majority of the time was spent on the range and in the video analysis suite but we were also allowed to use the simulator. This enabled us to get some useful yardages on our clubs and play some virtual golf to break the range work up.
Being early January, I got a cracking deal (£230 for 2 full days tuition and 1 night b&b). This would have been cheaper still if I had taken a mate to share the room with. This represents fantastic value for money and the tuition was first class. I came away with a really clear picture of what I needed to be working on and some early signs of improvement. With maximum of 4 pupils to each pro, you get plenty of personal attention. On my last 2 January trips it has been 2 to 1 tuition.
The Lodge is great accommodation, clean, tidy, comfortable, spacious and warm. The food at the clubhouse is very good, reasonably priced and very generous portions.
Overall another thoroughly rewarding stay and exceptional value for money. I look forward to my next trip.
Dan, Burgess Hill
We went for a three half-day golf tuition course at intermediate level for my wife and advanced level for myself. The instructor / pupil ratios were excellent (possibly not typical but for us two pupils to one dedicated tutor). The instructors (Tim and Tom) were knowledgeable, experienced professionals who were patient, approachable and explained things in an understandable way whilst suggesting exercises and drills to take away for use later. The video analysis was great and unlimited use of the driving range and 18 hole golf course was also included. Whilst not possibly for low handicap players, this tuition is suitable for most players seeking to improve their skills and enjoyment of the game. The golf school is only about four miles away from Hastings so there is easy access to the town and also Rye, Battle Abbey and other attractions. The on-site hotel is modern, clean and with excellent size rooms and facilities with the only (very slight) matter that the shower is the old fashioned type hand-held over the bath - but the bath is fine and there is plenty of hot water. The breakfast provided in the clubhouse was freshly cooked, comprehensive, of good quality and delicious.
I was having golf lessons for some time i then had a serious work accident resulting in a fractured Wrist & hip my hand had Complex regional Pain syndrome & i could not hold a club With Any safety so i had 4 of them adjusted but i need to Set back again as my pro has now left & i need to get going again
I ("beginner" age 59 with last brief tuition 47 years ago) and my son (Intermediate not handicapped, age 25) attended a 2 full day course and enjoyed ourselves as much as the nature of Golf allows! Lots of analysis and patient encouragement from our Tutor, Tim Underhill. Sorry, Tim if we disappointed on the course on our last afternoon, but it was fun!!
Accomodation fine. Personally I don't miss a shower in the en-suite, but others might, so perhaps a thought for the owners come refit time. Nice breakfasts served by friendly staff and the weather was kind (thanks Sussex.)
The hotel was clean and tidy, the golf club could do with a make over, an observation not a criticism. The icing on the cake all staff were attentive and friendly from the ladies in the club house serving food and drinks to the professionals in the pro shop and those who were tutoring.
Will definitely return for more of the same, highly recommended.
Let me start with the bad points. The first is that the wireless internet connection in the Golf Lodge is so poor as to be unusable. You can get access in the club house, but this isn't good enough in my opinion especially as the Lodge is superior accommodation in every other respect. The food in the clubhouse and restaurant is very good and the full English breakfast should not be missed,
My second complaint is that I no longer know the yardages of my clubs and am in the process of relearning them. I've added 20 yards, sometimes more, to my driver and 10 yards to my irons.
The course itself is very well run. There were three people in my group off 36, 28 and 21. At the start we were asked about our objectives in doing the course. Mine were to achieve a consistent ball strike and direction. The additional yardage I've subsequently achieved is a result of improved technique.
The way it works is the professional (Tim in our case) films you from multiple angles while you take a few shots. This enables him to show you exactly what you are doing right or wrong. You have a lesson, practice what you have learned then you are filmed again. Seeing it is vastly better than a regular lesson where the pro is just telling you what you are doing wrong.
The course was tailored to meet our requirements. For example, we all had questions about putting so Tim did an in depth session on that for us. The facilities are first rate; you have unlimited use of the driving range, there is a green with practice bunkers and several putting greens. The course itself is very interesting and on our last day, Tim came out and played half a dozen holes with us.
I've spent a fortune on kit and lessons in the eight years since I took up golf and this is the best money I have ever spent on the game. My advice is to persevere with whatever changes the pro recommends. In my case it was about keeping my left arm straight, wrist angle and lower body rotation. It was very difficult to ingrain these changes and the first round I played after the course I shot a net 17 over par and the next one was 12 over. However, I avoided the temptation to revert to my original swing, kept practicing and have now started playing to par or better on a regular basis and have just had my handicap cut to 20. As I mentioned earlier, an unintended consequence was big gains in distance so I am playing wedges into greens instead of mid-irons and finding short par 5s in reach of two shots.
I am so pleased to discover that at the age of 63 there is a sport where I can keep improving. I think 15 is a realistic target for me over the next 12 months and I will certainly be going back next year for the Advanced school.
If you want to improve your golf, there is no better place in the country than the James Andrews Golf School.
3rd visit here, and yet again an excellent experience Superb tuition, course and facilitites - will be back next year as normal!
Went on on an intermediate three day break and I learned a lot. Tom was patient and encouraging. From playing golf with buddies who gave silly and not so great advice to somebody like Tom was great experience. The facilities of the school was excellent and the tow courses were challenging and I could implement what Tom taught me. Hotel was comfortable and quiet. Food at the clubhouse was good and not expensive, lovely wine list and the staff were friendly and courteous.
A great place to be taught golf. I went on the intermediate 3 days, having lost my confidence and overthinking every shot. The pro Tom was brilliant, kept it simple but sorted me out wonderfully. (3 holes out of 5 with him on the last day in PAR|
The facilities range video etc. are great, the 2 courses are fun, the setting lovely and the hotel (i had a 4 poster bed) good. . and whilst the clubhouse is a bit scruffy the food and staff were great.
Id recommend it to anyone.
The tuition was appropriate to my needs and practice sessions intense. The pro just 'got me' which meant I came away having learned such a lot and tweaked my swing making a big difference to my game.
The venue and golf lodge is lovely - room was attractive, comfortable and clean ... I even had a view of the course.
We came back for a second course - which is a recommendation in itself.
My big wish for golf lessons ( at my stage of development !) is that they concentrate on getting rid of my rubbish shots rather than refining my best shots into marginally better ones. This time round our coach Ian delivered on this - I think. Some of the lessons take a while to settle in but it seems to have produced some positive improvements. My partner is less sure - the intensity of 8 hours tuition in a weekend may have tried to make too many changes all at once? The training facilities are excellent and free access to the course is part of the deal.
I cannot agree with sam c's comment about a rubbish hotel - no porters !!! Nice bath with lots of hot water and a shower head fitting. Comfortable bed. Big room. Well maintained. The hotel delivers the goods. Though he's right about the poor web connection.
The restaurant ? Slipping a bit I think. Nothing serious to criticise ( though the whitebait were more like fish gougons/nuggets and I won't order them again) but nothing special. Service is not quick. Decent breakfasts.
Having paid for a residential course with a coffee break in the middle of the morning session I do rather resent being charged for coffee. I can't think of any other course I've ever been on doing this.
Will we visit again - yes, probably.
Excellent instructor. Ian was very focused on each of us to help develop our golf. Definitely worthwhile and a great way to improve. Learned so much about my own golf in the first session. Went out the course to consolidate. Big thanks again to Ian for his help! My wife enjoyed the hotel as well - great room, pity we didn't get better weather!
Food was excellent!
We went for the two half day weekend break. The tuition was excellent, patient instructor who definitely helped us.
The accommodation is comfortable and the staff, without exception, delightful.
We had dinner in the restaurant and it was delicious.
Hotel well below standard I expected, poor web connection,
No porters at all................... Not one room with a shower............
Go for the Golf Lesson...... great pros..... stay at a decent Hotel nearby.
I was given a 5 day golf school stay as a birthday present and it was amazing. As a bit of a hacker I learnt so much from Tim over the 5 days. I even had one to one tuition for 3 of the days which was an added bonus. Also thanks to guys from Woodbury Park who were in attendance, some great tips from Christian too. Tim has such patience but, boy, did he improve my game.
Everyone in the establishment deserves a mention. From the guys in the bar when checking in to the staff in the restaurant (who even went to Hastings to buy fresh fish for dinner) to the staff in the pro shop to the chefs as well. Everyone was so friendly it felt like meeting old friends. It was so good to James every day as well, offering bits of advice and asking how things were going. Best tip - try a 'Gunners' in the bar, delicious! The food was some of the best I have tasted, freshly cooked and well presented.
I would definitely recommend the golf school to anyone looking to take up golf or improve their game. The lodge rooms were comfortable and well kept, just right to relax after the lessons. Perhaps a pool or spa would be an idea to ease the aching muscles??
Thanks again to James and everyone at Seddlescombe for a wonderful experience.
We found the three days golf instruction last too quick. It was really helpfull. The hotel was ok .All the people working there were very nice. The food at the clubhouse was good but a little bit too much wait.
Just started lessons with Natasha and enjoying the challenge ! She is very knowledgeable and encouraging.
Was made to feel really welcome here. All the pros are very kind and helpful and the practice facilities are top class! The golf course is in a really nice setting and has some tough and scenic holes! Recommend to anyone!
I attended a 2 day course with two 4 hour lessons. Since I was the only one to book this course, I had individual tuition at the same price as if I had been one of an intended group. All the staff were helpful and friendly. The venue, accommodation, food and teaching were all excellent.
At first it appears a bit overwhelming, but the facility is so friendly. The staff, instructor and even the patrons of the facility are warm and friendly. It is a clean, well kept facility. I can honestly say I left there with tools to improve my game. I struggled to use my hybrid and after the first day, it became one of my trusted clubs and that is no exaggeration. The lessons are very much tailored to your golfing style They don't try and change you but tweek a few things to help your game. It is definitely worth it weight in gold but I would suggest going with someone as it works out cheaper.
Brilliant place to fine tune your golf swing. Enjoyed everything about it. Hotel room was comfortable and spacious, food was excellent. Bar/restaurant staff were very helpful and friendly. Practise facilities were good. (Driving range chipping area and practise greens). The golf course was vey good, some tough holes, some pretty ones, long par 3's and ones you can let rip with your driver. The greens are a bit slow though for me. But the best thing about the experience was the tuition I got. Tom, our golf pro was great. I was worried my swing might get deconstructed and have to start again. But after a few tweaks he got me hitting the ball better than ever and consistently too. Finally starting to enjoy golf again!! Thanks to everyone at James Andrews I had a great time. Money well spent.
I have to say that I never add reviews to anything but on this occasion I simply had to....
There were three of us under 35 and I have to say that it was a brilliantly run centre. The golf lodge/hotel was immaculate with great sized rooms and oodles of hot running water. I lucked out and got the big room to myself and was happy as a pig in.....well you know.
The bar and restaurant were pleasantly decorated and food was seriously top notch. The staff were great without being overbearing and all had a great sense of humour.
On to the golf...strangely I had played in a pro am with our allocated pro, Paul Nessling, so that was a strange one and he was excellent (although like any golf lessons things get worse before they get better). It was a good match up as it was my brother and I and a friend and he was the right age group to put us through our paces and ensured there was plenty of banter and competitiveness to our practice. The best part of the tuition was that you had instant feedback from the video suite. It meant you could work on a slight swing change and then go and groove it on the range. It was so obvious to see your faults.
I play off of 10, my brother 17 and a pal off of 20 and we all felt that we really got a lot from the 2 half days, so much so that we are going to try and make it a regular event.
The course at Seddlescombe had some bad reviews from people I know locally but I have to say I completely disagreed. I thought the course was excellent and in very very good condition. There is one silly hole but show me a course that does not have one! There is water, good bunkers and would be a test for all standards of golfer.
There is also a superb par three course with a mixture of holes from 100 yards to 170 odd yards meaning you played full shots into them. This was brilliant especially as we were dead on our feet the second day!
As you can probably tell I loved the weekend and it ticked everyone of my boxes!!
If you are thinking about booking and reading these I promise you will not be disappointed - I do not give reviews and I simply had to on this occasion!
Always excellent. Have been going every year for seven years and still learning! Set up is excellent, staff always friendly and professional. Food is brilliant and this is always the best kickstart to my golf season. Thanks.
I have nothing but praise for every aspect of my 2 day stay here. The staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming, the hotel and restaurant were excellent and my coach, Tim, was a patient saint. Can't wait to revisit.
Would highly recommend this golf school, had a great time, staff so friendly, rooms lovely and clean, Bed so comfortable, food great, you do not need to leave site. 1st time there, but wont be last, learnt so much from Pro Tom North, swing has definitely improved.
Caroline & Elaine
Fantastic 5 days! I learned a lot, Tom's a fantastic pro! Food was great, staff very friendly and hotelroom was big and very clean. Loved it!
Great experience! Rained all the time but the venue was 1st class, the instructor was great. Learnt so much with the equipment available got good feed back. Recommende!
Every year we spend 4-5 days in Sedlescome and every time we are happy of our choice. The personal of hotel is very friendly, golf lessons are very professional and place is very relaxing.
Arrived in a blizzard and understandably the main course was shut but we played 9 holes on the par 3 course. The lessons were really focused and good, helped on a few niggle points and allowed the chance to practice good techniques! Great facilities.
Accommodation was nice and clean and breakfast and other meals was good and ample. Overall really enjoyed our stay and will be back next year to iron out a few more problems from my golf game.
This was a great introductory weekend to golf and our coach Tom North was excellent. I was in a group of three, all at a similar level of inexpertise. Accommodation and food was good, especially the ham egg and chips and full English! I had never held a golf club before and came away being able to play a nine hole game on the course. It was quite intensive but was the best way to give you a thorough foundation.
We booked a 3 x 1/2 day lessons session. The hotel was very nice, spacious and comfortable and the restaurant manageress Sam did a wonderful job to make our stay as pleasant as possible - I can't praise her enough. The golf lessons covered everything and were very instructive and I learned a lot, but didn't specifically cover the big weakness in my game which was driving off of the tee, although we spent a lot of time analysing the basic swing and the video analysis was helpful. This entailed a lot of practice in the driving range which is an early model; there are no automated tees (so a lot of bending down) and all shots not using a tee have to be made off of a very tight mat with no different areas on it with different lies. Also, the pro did not come out on the course with us which I was expecting. On the plus side however, the instruction on putting, chipping, pitching and bunker play was good and covered most scenarios you are likely to encounter on the course. I would think it is excellent for beginners, as all bases are covered.
Went on a 3 day golf lessons and played golf every afternoon Ian was my trainer and found easy ways to improve my game at my pace
As good as last time. My only complaints were the course was flooded so didn't get to play the 18. The other issue was eberything was a little slow. From tea breaks to long lunches. I would have preferred more coaching and video analysis.
A very relaxed way to improve your golf. Excellent tuition from Paul our PGA professional as well as all the staff making us fill very welcome. Certainly worth a return visit.
Excellent weekend at the James Andrews School of Golf! I went with a friend (female early 30s) on a beginner's 2 day crash course and had a wonderful time. Definitely helped by the beautiful weather that weekend.
Accommodation: we had a twin room, overlooking the golf course on the ground floor. The accommodation was clean and had all necessary amenities for us (including heating individual controls, coffee and tea making, bathroom with toiletries and hairdryer, extra blankets). Beds were comfortable. Nice and quiet. Food was great - breakfasts included with the accommodation, and for lunch reasonable prices - excellent ham and cheddar sandwiches. Not an issue, but you need to provide notice in advance if you will be arriving after 9:30pm so that there will be somebody to give you keys.
Golf school: our instructor was Ian and very patient - good at tailoring the course to slightly different abilities - we were all beginners but the two guys on the group were picking up instructions much faster! We had no experience at golf and came away very keen to try new skill. Lots of practice, and learnt a lot reviewing in the computer room as well (analysing swing). Both days had 6 hours of tuition, and in addition half hour break for morning tea and hour break for lunch. Early start at 8:30 am finishing approx 4 - 4:30pm. It was a lot of fun so went very quickly.
Location: approx £8 to 10 pounds taxi ride from the station Battle. Ring ahead to book a taxi -the golf school can provide numbers. Battle is approx 90 min on the train from Charing Cross station in London. The golf school is also close to Hastings which is approx £10 taxi ride away. We spent an evening in Hastings which was very nice - went along the seaside and had dinner in a restaurant in the old town.
Definitely give a go if this is something you've been thinking about!
